Demi grew up in Ravenswood, West Virginia and Kingwood, Texas. She played college volleyball her first year of college at West Virginia Wesleyan College. Demi transferred to Sam Houston State University before her second year of college, and in December 2014 graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Legal Studies.
Spending her last six months of undergrad working in a family law, civil law, and criminal defense firm, Demi found her passion in helping people through the difficult times in their lives. Demi started law school in August 2016 at Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas. After her first year of law school, Demi volunteered as an intern with the Texas Attorney General’s Office in the Child Support Division. She learned the value of thinking outside the box to find solutions for families and provide stability in hard situations.
During Demi’s second and third years of law school, Demi interned with the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas and became a law clerk with Texas Attorney General’s Office. These experiences throughout law school kept Demi motivated and focused by allowing her to work with real people and cases and help find answers for those in need of help.
After law school, Demi and her husband Ben moved to East Texas for Demi to begin practicing law and serving the East Texas community. Outside of work, Demi enjoys exploring the outdoors with Ben and their two pups and spending time with family and friends.
